Extensions to this previously built intranet application
Project Description
This project involved modification of the original Careers Wales Cardiff and the Vale (CWCV) Self-Assessment system to introduce some new features based on user feedback and the experience of one year of using the original solution. The following changes were requested:
- The ability for users to search within the content of documents they have uploaded to the system.
- The ability to categorise documents uploaded to the system into multiple categories.
- The ability for users to copy data around the system with greater ease.
- The provision of an audit trail against the evidence data held in the system so that a full history of the changes made, when and by who is held.
- The creation of action points to allow teams to set up and manage a “to do” list of their work within the system.
The backend database was also upgraded to SQL Server 2005.
The final system now models very closely the way in which CWCV work – the gap between the way CWCV thought they worked as captured in the original project and actuality having now being addressed.
