Project Description
Harman Becker is a manufacturing company with a base in Bridgend, South Wales that produce audio speakers for the automotive industry. The company operates ten production lines and speaker assembly is rigorously documented using sets of “control plans” which detail every stage of the process. Harman Becker commissioned Propona to develop a complex SQL Server 2005 database and Windows Forms UI to manage both the control plans and the skills of their employees.
The skill-related data stored in the database together with the swipe card technology now ensures that workers who are not qualified to perform a given task on the production line cannot log into that “station” on the production line.
Subsequently Harman Becker have returned to Propona for further project work.
