Online Patent Management Application
Project Description
Propona were commissioned by Abel and Imray to develop a prototype for an online patent management application .
Companies outside the EU typically obtain Patent protection within the EU by means of filing an international (PCT) patent application in their home country and subsequently “entering the European Regional phase”. To do this, a European Patent attorney firm (e.g. Abel & Imray) is typically instructed to take the necessary action. A form is filed and various fees are paid.
Propona developed a prototype version of an online application that automates the collection of data for the completion of an application, outputting data to a .csv file which then uses a Word macro to output data to a predefined collection of forms and payment instructions (as a Word document) for checking by an attorney.
