.NET Consutancy for the Planning Inspectorate
Project Description
On-site consultancy for the Planning Inspectorate, Bristol in the form of .NET training to developers.
The team had been tasked with building an intranet system for managing the contracts issued to building inspectors to streamline what was currently a repetitive part of their operation. The solution had to use the Windows login account of the users and accept import feeds from several other Government systems.
Propona assisted in translating the design into a working web application, advising on the use of AJAX, Membership security and error logging strategies and on the potential future use of SQL Reporting Services.
The work was finished slightly ahead of schedule so that Propona were able to use the extra time to deliver a centralised general-purpose security configuration website to speed up the development of any future PINS sites.
